“The best part of leaving a legacy may just be getting to live it.”
Whether I’m encouraging women in my church or writing stories for children, I keep coming back to the same thing: the stories we live, the people we love, and the faith that carries us through it all.
Years ago, I had a simple dream—to create stories that would become treasured keepsakes for my children and grandchildren. I wanted to leave them something more lasting than a bedtime story... something they could return to long after the last page was turned.
As I continued writing, I realized the stories I’d created for my own family reflected the same hopes, dreams, questions, and everyday moments we all share.
They weren’t just my family’s stories anymore—they became yours, too.
Today, I tell those stories in more than one way. Through my children’s books, I celebrate imagination, faith, family, and the people who inspire them. Through The Journal, I share more of the life behind the stories—the creative journey, the lessons I’m still learning, and the moments I want to remember.
Because I’ve come to believe that legacy isn’t only something we leave behind.
It’s something we get to live.
